I hope this finds you well and filled with the joy and hope that comes from knowing Jesus. As I sit down to write, my heart is overflowing with gratitude for the journey God has taken me on—a journey Kelli and I have shared for over 30 years of marriage. This past year, we celebrated that incredible milestone, and I’m reminded of God’s faithfulness in our lives and ministry. After 46 years of following Jesus and serving in ministry, I can confidently say this: Jesus is life, and we get to tell the world about Him!
Let me share a few stories that keep my heart burning with passion for the Gospel. The first is about Wandy, a young man I met in Haiti when he was just 16 years old. He told me, “I want to be a preacher like you.” That moment has stayed with me. Over the past 13 years, we’ve walked alongside Wandy, helping him grow in faith and ministry. Today, he’s not only preaching but leading a vibrant ministry that cares for nearly 100 children. Watching God work through Wandy is one of the greatest joys of my life.
Then there’s Joseph in Kenya. 4 years ago, I had the privilege of discipling and training him. Fast forward to today, and Joseph is reaching close to 1,500 teenagers every week with the hope of the Gospel. Imagine the ripple effects of his faithfulness as those young people encounter Jesus and take His love into their homes, schools, and communities. It’s incredible what God can do when we simply say “yes” to His call.
And then there’s Chris, a former student from my early days in ministry. We’ve stayed connected over the years, and now he’s leading his own ministry, using the resources we’ve developed to disciple others. Seeing Chris live out his faith and inspire others to do the same reminds me why we do what we do. The Gospel is alive, and it’s changing lives everywhere.
This is the heart of The Be.Love. Project. We are called to make disciples, equip leaders, and share Jesus with the world. It’s why we’ve developed resources like John316.today, which has trained thousands to share their faith online, and Youth Ministry Now, our new platform equipping countless leaders to disciple teenagers effectively. It’s why we write books, create Bible studies, and pour our lives into leaders and students. Every story, every soul, is worth it.
The Great Commission fuels everything we do: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:19-20). These aren’t just words on a page—they are our mission and our passion. Jesus is life, and we get to tell the world!
